Who is Rover best for?
Rover isn’t about tracking your pet’s health. It’s about getting them cared for when you can’t be there. If you need a dog walker this week, a drop-in visit for your cat, or someone to house-sit over a long weekend, Rover is our go-to: its App Store listing says it has more than 200,000 sitters to choose from.
What can you book on Rover?
Rover covers daytime care (drop-in visits for dogs and cats, dog walking, and doggy day care) and overnight care (house sitting and boarding). While your pet is in someone else’s care, you get photo and video updates, walk report cards with GPS routes, and real-time chat with your sitter. Payments happen in the app.
Is Rover safe?
Rover says every sitter who joins is background-checked and their profile is verified. Stays are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which Rover says includes up to $25,000 in vet care for eligible claims, along with 24/7 support. As with any sitter, read reviews and do a meet-and-greet first.
How does Rover compare with Everkin?
They’re complementary, not competitors. Rover finds and books the sitter. Everkin (our own app) gives that sitter temporary access to your pet’s schedules and check-ins, then the access expires on its own.
